Much of the energy efficiency of products that require insulation is due to the insulation properties achieved through polyurethane processing. PUR has low thermal conductivity and efficient heat retention. Layers of rigid polyurethane offer great thermal insulation properties.

Refrigerators, home and commercial freezers, vending machines, shipping containers refrigerators, commercial and residential freezers and personal appliances depend on polyurethane for its thermal insulation properties. Insulation products created with polyurethane are lightweight and provide structural strength.
